SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo Sweeper-Vacuum Review

The SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo is a next-gen vacuum that includes a robovac and a manual sweeper for cleaning hard to reach places.

Ever since its initial release, the SwitchBot K10+ robot vacuum has received several upgrades including a K10+ Pro version. I’ve reviewed and tested both variants and shared my experience with this tiny robovac. You can check out each review to learn more and find out what the difference is between both.

It appears SwitchBot is not stopping there with their robot focused smart home. SwitchBot’s appearance at CES 2025 was all about robots actually, including multiple upcoming upgrades to their robovacs. I’m eager to witness these releases in the future, although I’d wager we will have to wait more than expected.

In this article, I’m testing and reviewing another robot vacuum, the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo Sweeper Vacuum. As the name implies, this is a combo robot vacuum with the K10+ Pro as the main robovac and a manual hand sweeper attached to the station.

I’ve had it in my home for a while now and I can comfortably share my experience with it. It’s available on the SwitchBot Webstore as well as Amazon and costs $799.99 as a listing price, but you can get a $200 discount by using code LMTMS250.

Overview and Package Contents

The SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo robot vacuum ships in a huge box containing the device itself, the sweeper, a complete user manual and some spare accessories. Everything is packaged inside individual boxes and protected well from shipping damage and mishandling. Obviously, everything you need to get the K10+ Pro Combo up and running is included inside.

The main station of the K10+ Pro Combo is much taller than those on the K10+ and K10+ Pro combo. I believe this was designed on purpose to make the sweeper much easier to reach once attached to the base station. I appreciate the thinner profile though, as it should make choosing a final position also easier.

Looking at it from the top, and you can see where the sweeper holder goes. The first thing you need to do is attach the sweeper station to the main robot vacuum base station. This is the only time you would need to use a screwdriver for assembling the K10+ Pro combo. It’s held securely in place by four screws which you hide with some small rubber covers included in the package.

The first box contains parts for the sweeper that you need to assemble before use. This includes various sweeper heads, the actual body of the sweeper, the battery pack and some other accessories. These are all wrapped in plastic bags to prevent scratching themselves from one another during shipping.

Underneath the first layer, the sweeper main motor with the dust canister as well as the mounting station are neatly tucked inside. It seems overwhelming looking at all the parts at first glance, but as it happens the device is super easy to assemble. The manual that ships with the K10+ Pro Combo has a quick start page that shows you where everything goes, illustrated in the most intuitive and easy way possible.

I took out everything from inside this box and laid it out on my table. Assembling the sweeper is just simple snap-in-place, quick coupling action. The entire thing is held together by quick couplers, including the lithium battery which is used as a handle. The small dust filter in the image is actually a spare, and the sweeper has one pre-installed, which I did not realize at the time.

The main sweeper head has a very useful transparent top. You will be able to see how it works and notice when something gets stuck inside. It’s also equipped with an LED on the front, allowing you to light up the way and see better. This works surprisingly well for hardwood or tiled floors, as even the smallest dust specs are producing a shadow that is very clearly visible.

The two-part holder you see in the image bellow, is used to hold the different accessories somewhere next to your robot vacuum. These accessories are meant for vacuuming hard to reach areas, like behind your couch or sofa. Here’s how they look like once attached to this mini station:

Once I assembled the K10+ Pro Combo, I decided to install it next to the S10 in my living room temporarily. I wanted to compare some things, so it sat here for about 10 days before I move it to the bedroom. Here’s an image of both the S10 and K10+ Pro Combo:

SwitchBot App and Home Assistant Matter Integration

If you frequent SmartHomeScene, you already know that I don’t like using proprietary apps for smart devices in my home. But, with robot vacuums there simply isn’t any other way. There are many things that can be configured only through official apps and Matter has barely scratched the surface in this aspect.

Like most SwitchBot devices, the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo pairs to the app very easily. It’s immediately auto discovered, with the app guiding you through everything you need to do. Here are few screenshots from the SwitchBot app:

As I’ve mentioned many times before, SwitchBot’s app is very easy and intuitive to use. It’s perhaps the best designed smart home app out there, with a sleek interface and logical controls. The pairing process even includes assembly instructions, positioning tips and other stuff related to this robot vacuum. I got prompted to do a firmware update once I paired the device, which automatically rebooted the device.

After it came back online, I started the quick mapping process. This is possible because the K10+ Pro uses a new D-ToF Radar navigation to quickly map your space. It does not travel to the edges of the room during mapping. Instead, it simply drives around and stops to look around the area, frequently performing a 360 rotation. It was done in under 10 minutes and I got a full map loaded inside the SwitchBot app.

Once everything was done and my rooms were labelled properly, I went ahead and added the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo to Home Assistant over Matter. At this time, you do need to use one of SwitchBot’s hubs for this, either the Hub Mini or Hub 2. There’s a firmware upgrade that would allow the device to be used over Matter without a hub, as the K10+ Pro Combo is already Matter certified. It exposes only a single switch in Home Assistant, which just starts the robot vacuum without any configuration parameters. This is the behavior I expected actually, as Matter handles robovacs very poorly at this state of its development process.

Usage and testing

I’ve talked in detail about the performance of the K10+ Pro in its own review. Since this is basically the same robot vacuum, there is no need to go into detail of how well it vacuums. I will note again that for a robot vacuum of this size it offers impressive suction power (3000Pa). I did find that two runs are needed in most cases, especially to clean carpeted areas better. I would actually consider the size as it’s biggest advantage. It’s very small and will run around chair legs, sneak under sofas or go under beds without issues.

However, what I was really interested in is the performance and utility of the sweeper.

The sweeper is very light and a breeze to maneuver. The heaviest part is the battery which is actually the handle you move to control the sweeper. Because you hold the heavy part at the top, it’s kind of resting in your hand and you do not have to use any strength to move it at all. The vacuuming head moves very easily and with minimal effort. Without the head, the whole thing weighs only 1.17kgs. This feels like nothing in my hand, especially since some of that weight actually rests on the floor when you are using the sweeper.

For going around corners, you simply swivel the entire thing to the direction you want it go. The head follows your actions to a tee and moves wherever you point at. The light on the front is bright enough to illuminate the area you are cleaning and detect any dust specs in front of it. I do wish this was white and not green, but it might have actually done a poorer job if it was a white LED.

There are two suction level settings of the K10+ Pro sweeper. These can be adjusted by pressing the button on the handle, noticeably changing noise level. I found the lower level does a great job of picking up debris from hard surfaces like wooden floors or tiles, but struggles with carpets. Turning on the high suction can tackle carpets properly, although it’s worth noting bushier ones might require more than one run. At the highest level, the sweeper has a suction power of 20.000Pa.

Once you are done, you simply place it on it’s stand which rests behind the station and it cleans itself automatically. It does two dust emptying cycles one after another, to catch any debris that might be resting against the flap cover of the dust container. This can be also toggled from the app manually if you need to. As the base station is equipped with dual fans, which SwitchBot calls TwinFlow, it empties debris from the sweeper very efficiently.

I ultimately decided to place the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo in the bedroom as its final position. The indicators LEDs can be turned off in the app and do not disturb mode can be enabled to prevent emptying during the evening and night. Here’s how it looks like:

Final Thoughts

After spending a good amount of time testing the K10+ Pro Combo, I can confidently say this is a well-thought-out cleaning solution. The initial assembly was surprisingly straightforward, even with the multiple components that appear scary at first.

I was particularly impressed with the sweeper’s design; it’s incredibly light and easy to maneuver, making quick cleanups a breeze. If you have small children, you will deeply appreciate this sweeper. The LED light on the head was also a nice touch, highlighting dust and debris that I might have otherwise missed.

The performance of both the robovac and the sweeper was very solid. The K10+ Pro’s suction power, is more then enough to clean hard surfaces effectively, though it may require multiple runs on carpets. The extra sweeper attachments come in handy for cleaning hard to reach places, although I don’t see me or my spouse using those all that much.

In terms of price, I don’t love it and I don’t hate it. In my opinion, it’s right around the middle for what this combo should cost. SwitchBot has a code that you use which does bring the price down, so this devices should be on your shortlist. If you are in the USA, use code LMTMS250. If you are in the EU, use code BFCM250. Codes are also automatically applied on their Amazon webstore.
