Remember to triple check price history on camelcamelcamel or other sites. Amazon’s practice lately is to invent a fake pre-sale price rather than hold a real sale. In fact frequently the actual out of pocket price is higher than before the fake “sale” started.
This is illegal in most of the west but Amazon has enough money they don’t care.

I’ve mention this when sharing the article on socials and explained that the discounts appear larger than they actually are.
They are calculated by the MSRP price instead of the recent retail price, which creates a larger difference then in reality.
My estimates is that the real discount averages around 20% across brands, with the biggest one being for robot vacuum cleaners.
